A Little Inspiration For Your Day

I read these verses this morning and just wanted to share....

Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— ⁴ rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God....

Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.... (I love that part about being heirs together, together being the key word.)

¹⁵ But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; ¹⁶ having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.- 1 Peter 3: 3-4, 7, 15-16 (NKJV)

That last part really spoke to me, especially about being ready to give a defense with meekness. Lately, I've been wrestling with something, and I realized this morning that I needed to let God guide my actions and words concerning it; if He's not guiding me, I could possibly cause a situation to go so badly, that these other persons might never want to turn to God.....so, if you think of it, just keep me in your prayers over the coming months, as we are going to face many changes, and I need to just let God work through and in me to produce meekness and gentleness....
